Dr. Vonli van Eeden, a passionate and experienced Anaesthesiologist with over ten years of hands-on experience in anaesthesia, perioperative care, and emergency medicine.
My focus is always on making patients feel safe, supported, and well cared for — whether you’re going in for a simple procedure or something more complex. I believe in using the most effective, evidence-based techniques to improve outcomes and ensure the best possible experience for every patient.
I work closely with surgical teams and other specialists to tailor the anaesthetic approach to each person’s unique needs — and I’m deeply committed to safe, compassionate care from start to finish.
Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of hospital settings — from district to academic — building a broad and deep understanding of patient care in surgery and anaesthesia.
Groote Schuur Hospital (2021–2024): I completed specialist training here, providing anaesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures and gaining ICU experience.
Worcester Hospital (2019–2020) and Far East Rand Hospital (2017–2018): I led anaesthesia for both emergency and elective procedures.
I’ve also worked extensively in Emergency Medicine across private hospitals, which sharpened my ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
